4 Positive Paws Dog Training

A little bit about me.... My husband and I live in Huntersville, NC.  We have three grown children, three adorable granddaughters and two precious grandsons who are the love of our lives! We share our home and our love with two wonderful animals, Enzo our dog, and Brady our cat. Our Sweet Violet passed away in 2014, but she will always live in our hearts.  Our grown children also have animals, which of course adds so much fun and fur to our lives!

Growing up I was constantly "borrowing" all the neighbors’ puppies to play with! Snuggling with those puppies and smelling their sweet puppy breath did then and does now make me smile from ear to ear! For many years my goal has been to pursue a career working with animals. In 2000, when we introduced Violet, our sweet Boston Terrier (pictured on the home page) into our lives it quickly became clear to me that this is where my heart and my passion was.  Each day Vi and I would work on different things--sit, stay, down, come, touch, leave it and many fun tricks! All of that on the job training has helped me with training Enzo to be a fabulous dog! He is growing so much and is learning so much--very smart little boy!

I earned my Dog Training certification through the Animal Behavior College (ABC) and my Canine Good Citizenship (CGC) Evaluator certification through the American Kennel Club (AKC). I am a full member of the Pet Professional Guild and certified through the American Red Cross in Pet CPR.  My internship was completed with my mentor Dee, a wonderful fellow trainer and friend.

Thank you for taking the time and interest in looking at my site and qualifications that I have to offer in working with you and your loving dogs!

Dog Training Classes

My commitment to you as a certified dog trainer is to provide positive, fun and creative training ideas that you will be able to use throughout your dog’s life.  A well mannered dog does things because he wants to please his kind, confident, consistent leader. We never want our dog to be afraid of us—fear does not establish manners—confidence does. I will show you ways to always set your dog up to succeed! I want you to have fun being with your dog and I want your dog to have fun being with you!

My goal is to help you stay
"Motivated so that you will always truly enjoy your loving Dog!"
